I have a 00 civic si that had a d16y8 block topped with a d16y8 head unstalled in it. The cruise control parts seem to be inplace yet, except for the vacuum lines from the actuator to the intake manifold. The y5 intake manifold does not have a nipple for the cruise control anywhere on it. I would like to keep the y5 intake on it, it is presently getting over 38 mpg.

My question is this:
Can I drill, tap and install a vacuum nipple for the cruise control? Does it need to be located in a certain area on the intake body (plenum, I think) to work properly?

I know I would still have to reconnect the cable from the actuator, can that cable be hooked up to the y5?
