The CRV drive train Is an automatic transferrence of power.. There is not set power. The rear wheels are engaged by a oil line that connects from the rear diff to the front yoke. When the front and back wheels spin at the same rate the car drives n FWD mode. However if the front wheels spin faster than the back wheels then the oil line is no longer a neutral pressure the small pump pumps the fluid to the rear diff activating the rear dif. The whole system is a viscus coupling. Same way the torque converter works in an automatic trans. No actual connection just fluid flowing through fins.
