Hey all, I'm looking into buying a 90's CRX stock *from what I know*, and I love the look of the car for all but one thing, the front end! I'm a huge sucker for those flip-up lights and didn't know if it were possible to swap out the front end of a 90's CRX with the older one, the one with the flip-up lights. If anyone could let me know and maybe give me some pointers that would be great! All I know about it so far is that it's a 5 speed 1.5L 1990. Thanks! -another noob.
first ther crx never had flip up lights only the accord and prelude did, but iven never seen it done but flip up lights from a accord might be ok looking
the older integras had flip up lights, maybe you could use those, the front bumper on them kinda looks like the JDM EF front bumper too.
Never seen it done.. but I bet it would look a lot better than the retards that put EK front ends on the CRX I would be willing to bet it would be a major PITA though...
my buddy has a 87 rex with a 86 teg front end, he cut the car right infront the rad support. ill try and get pics.
this isn't entirely accurate. while the U.S. never got the 1g rex with flip headlights, other countries, such as australia, new zealand, and europe did. if you happen to find them on ebay, then you've found something. like tegnation said, i've seen 1g integra front ends grafted on to the 84-87 rex. search for flip up headlights on Red Pepper Racing again, good luck! scott
the lamp assembly itself may not move, but the header panel cover for the light certainly does. scott
cool if there a place where i could read up on it and what a full size of the car and what it came with ect ect that would be awesome
do a search on Red Pepper Racing and you might find a write up on an install. i looked for about 10 min. before i found that small image on a japanese site. good luck! scott
