The other day i was putting on some coilovers and when i was doing the front my cv joint came out and i put it back in, but now its slinging green colored grease everywhere. is this bad and how can i fix it?

yes, it's bad. you don't want it to go dry.
you can either repair the boot and tighten it up. or buy one from schucks or autozone. make sure you keep the boot tight and refill the grease.

yeah real cheap fix, easy in the pocket but but a bit of a pain in the ass for me, for one it is a fucking mess and two those dam bearings can be a pain to keep them in place, Have some one help you hold the axle and bearings in place.

At my dads tireshop if someone wants a CV boot replaced, they go ahead and replace the entire axle (it is cheaper for the shop becuase of Labor).
