I have been scanning this and other forums and here is what I have and what I want to do, but I need some help. I'm a noob at this and need help.
I have a 1990 DX hatchback. It has a D15B2 which has at least a blown head gasket if not cylinder head or block issues. It is an automatic transmission and I would like to keep it that way for now.
I want to install a VTEC-E engine. It is my understanding that this will go in fairly easily. I will need a different ECU and different wiring harness. I have gotten conflicting info and I need to know which ECU I need and which wiring harness. Also, is there anything else I need, like engine mounts, etc.
Or, if anybody has a good fuel efficient alternative to the VTEC-E that would be a mostly drop in replacement for my D15B2 I would take the advice.
