d15b7 eg engine, replacing with d16y8 (ek model)

hi there, as of the title.. i am taking the engine out of my EG coupe (1996 reg) and replacing it with a d16y8 out of a 1999 reg coupe...

It will have the loom, ecu, g/box, driveshafts etc etc

will i need a obd1-obd2 conversion kit?

If so, where can i get this from?

Mounts should be ok. You can run it all OBD1 if you want, and a conversion harness definitely makes the installation easier. You can look on sites like Rywire.com (a sponsor) to find good conversion harnesses cheap.

ohh right, thanks for that.

So is obd1 the engine loom out of the d16y8 or can i use the d16z6 loom and ecu out of an eg?

I think the conversion harnesses will let you use the Y8's engine harness with the rest of the OBD1 wiring in your car.
