Hi there, im driving a 94 dx civic coupe running on a d15b7 non-vtec motor with a manual tranny. Recently, I came across a 3 stage vtec motor with wiring, ecu and auto tranny. My question is, what should I else should I get beside the motor and wiring harness. Would my manual tranny work with the newer vtec engine and would i need to get a manual ob2 p2j ecu, thanks all

Yes, your current transmission will work, and yes- you should get the ECU to go with the engine. Ideally, you would also get a conversion harness so that your OBD2 ECU can work easily with your OBD1 car.

Thanks calesta for the quick answer. Is the current tranny good enough or should i fix a tranny from the ex civic?

Good enough as in it will work, but no doubt the Si/EX transmission will be a little quicker.
