I want to put a d15z1 head on my d16z6 block. I want o take long trips this summer and the better gas mileage would be nice. I have the cpu for the d15z1. I believe the timing belt is a 103 tooth for the d15z1 and 104 for the d16z6. So I would go with the 103. Is the distributor different? I know the valve springs are slightly different and the cam is different. I think the basic heads are the same. Will this work. My d16z6 head is warped and I have this spare d15z1 head. When I sell the car (Del Sol SI), I could always change the cam, cpu and timing belt back to the specs of the SI. Is there something I'm missing here. The valve stems seem to be the same. These are both v-tec heads manufactured at the same time.
