d16a vtec from civic swap in 88 crx

hey guys, does anyone kno if if a d16a vtec from a civic swap clean into an 88 crx. wut mods must be done for it to work. will it fit the mounts already, or does it have to be adjusted, and mods to electrical wiring etc.. thanks for the help

I JUST did my own. I got a D16A motor which is single cam vtec and there are some differences. One you HAVE VTEC now! But, you have to do a conversion. I haven't gotten that far. ALSO, the hose from the front of the block to the radiator is at a different angle. So, I swapped that over. Also, the distributor doesn't fit. I need to get one from a z6 I guess...not sure what to do yet. Also, there are two wires that went into the back of the engine I think for coolant temp? And those are not there, they are now with a different clip on the passenger side of the engine where the 4 coolant hoses go. Other than that, everything fits fine.
