heres some pics of a d16a1 sitting in a 1988 crx hf i bought as a parts car they got it in there but couldnt get it running i think due to electrical issues since im new to hondas ill take any suggestions for the wiring you can see in one of the pics that all but one plug matches up

did they use the HF engine harness on the A1? that is the only way you are going to get it to work - the HF engine harness will plug into everything but the distributor - you would need to use the distributor connector from the A1 harness on the HF harness and extend the Cylinder Sensor wires to the sensor on the end of the exhaust camshaft
