I have a 90 CRX Si and a 89 Accord 2door. The accord's engine has problems, the CRX's doesn't, so I am interested in swapping the D16A6 into the accord and getting a new engine for the CRX. It would be a slight decrease in horse-power from a properly running A20A3 (I believe that is what is in the accord now), but it's not properly running so I'm not horribly concerned about that.

Possible? Easy? Bad idea? Kits available?

Even better then a simple answer: What's a good resource to look this stuff up myself? Having never done an engine swap before I'm a bit lost.

as far as i know its not recommended swapping a lower motor into ANY accord. you can find some cheap f22 or f20s h22 w/e. im not sure on older models but i wouldnt try to downgrade your accord.

my opinion.

Everything is possible.
Not going to be easy whatsoever.
Bad idea completely.
I don't think they make kits, why they would is beyond me?
Get another a20 from the junkyard, or fix the problems with the one you have.
This is not even close to a doable job if you've never done a motor swap.

Definitely just get another Accord engine. It will be cheaper and MUCH less headache than trying to drop a D engine into your car.
