don't bother, I built my d16y7 before ended up swapping. I'd done lots of work to it and ended up with respectable power - 111 whp, 106tq - but nowhere near the "B" engine - stock dyno'd at 144.9whp 105tq - and it cost me less to buy the engine and everything I needed to swap than it did to build the "D" engine.
if you insist on building it, get forged internals, a single cam vtec z6 or y8 head, and a turbo and go nuts. Should be good for about 225+ whp with built bottom end.
