I recently had to change out my D16A6/D16Z6 hybrid to a D16 ZC SOHC VTEC in my
1994 OBD1 Del Sol Si.
Never assume a teenager knows how to change a sparkpug. Why the ZC? Budget
and ease of swap. Steve at HMotorsOnline.Com was very helpful, the engine
dropped right in, the tranny bolted right up and the motor fired up on the first try.
If you EVER need an engine I HIGHLY recommend HMororsOnline.Com !!!!
After all the connections, both electircal and vacuum I had 1 set left over. On the D16Z6
manifold this connection is to the Purge Solenoid.
On the ZC manifold there is NO provision for this solenoid, no mounting hole, no manifold
vacuum connection, no nothing.
My question is. . . do I need it? Should I just cap & stow the connector and hose or should
I change the ZC manifild back over to the D16Z6 manifold and hook the hose and connector
up?
