hey,

what is the difference between the 5spd and the 4spd besides the extra gear? is the DX=5spd and the STD=4spd?

thanks.

Yes, typically. STD = 4 speed, DX = 5 speed. The front spindles will also be different between the two, unless you're driving an HF. The HF has 5 speeds but also the smaller spindles/axles of the STD.

4 speed STD doesn't have a tach

Nither did some of the DX's. I believe the Si's (and EX Sedans) only came with a Tach.

hrmm, what about the difference between the 88-89 and 90-91 models?

i think the gauge cluster has a slightly different wiring harness... and the front and rear bumpers are slightly different? anything else?

taillights were different, and the side mouldings and that strip that goes through the bumpers were rounded instead of squared
