Difference in GSR and LS axles?

Is there a differnce in the inner cv joints between a GSR and an LS? Parts store wants more for GSR axles. I only need the inner CV joints and do not care about the rest of the axle assemblies. I am using my own custom axle shafts and outer CV joints. I don't want to pay more for GSR axles if the LS ones are the same where on the transmission/jackshaft side.
