So since i'm poor my GF bought us a digital camcorder.
I didn't need to get too high end, but wanted digitalness and good quality.
I ended up getting the Panasonic GS19

Overall it's pretty nice for the walmart cost of $300.
The video is awesome, but the still picture quality sucks ... i think it was broke down into .09MP.
I didn't want it for still pictures as much as i did for moving pictures, so meh i'm happy.
If someone is 'in the market' for one, check it out, it's pretty nice, small and easy to use.
Now i can record movies of my 15 second passes at the track!

Budget Consumers (9.0)
Budget consumers won’t find a cheaper camcorder with this level of manual control anywhere. The fact that Panasonic included such an advanced feature set shows the level of respect they have for their customers as intelligent, discerning amateurs of videography.
