Ok, I did an obdII to obdI(b18b) swap in my 97 civic ex. I am using and obdII distributor and alternator with the stock wiring harness. I have a rywire obdII to obdI converter. I have blown 2 dizzys in 4 weeks and have no clue why. It starts off like the car won't go when you hit the gas then push the clutch in rev engine up and its gone for a while. It gets worse with time then the dizzy just stops working all together. Were do I start to look to fix this problem? would running an amp wire next to the wire harness do this? I have it run thru the fire wall with the stock harness then down the right side of the car next to the door. Please help with ideas as I would like to fix this problem.

Improper grounding is my guesse. If your using obd2 dizzy then it can't be a wiring problem because you made no changes to the distributor harness. Make sure the ground on the water inlet neck is on and tight.
