Has anyone had their distributor/sensors go bad (CKP, CYP, or TDC) without throwing a code on a obd1 gsr?

No not usually, I would check all the possible connections related to your dizzy. I would also check your grounds. If that doesn't work go "rent" a dizzy from an autoparts store and test your theory.

I've had the igniter failing or gone bad with no code. Replaced it and problems solved.
