same stock HP. dohc or vtec? which would be better to build on. zc parts are hard to find, but ive heard that the stock power has a lot more go than the d15b. which one would be a better accelerating engine/ better swap for a 91 civic hb dx 5spd?
i got a 91 civic hb wit a 89 jdm dohc zc znd it is fast its doin 15.23 in a 1/4 . My buddy got a 95 civic wit a b16a and i am beatin the shit out of his car .

the dohc zc would be a good motor all around motor, not to mention it likes forced induction. it also has more tourqe than the sohc. the only problem with it is that parts are hard to find for it(after market ones). in my opinion, the dohc would be better.
