doing an LS swap into my civic

I recently bought a 96 B18b1 engine for my 98 honda civic dx. does anyone know if i will need to buy a new catalytic converter for the swap? because i know the dx cat is right in front just under the headers. and what is a good brand of high flow converters i could get that wont fail emissions testing because i live in new york and i have to get one every year
