I'm wondering, if a power door wont open would should I bring it to a body shop or a mechanic? My mom got a 98 hyundai sonata and the passenger door wont unlock. and I don't want to use a pry bar and end up breaking something. so if anyone knows I would really appreciate it

    thanks

    all fuses good?

can you open the door from the inside atleast?

if so, pull the door card off and inspect.

yeah all the fuses are good, and I can't open it from the inside or the outside. like I'm thinking about using a pry bar but I don't want to mess the door up but I also don't want to pay a lot of money to get it open you know? it seems like when they locked and closed the door the lock itself fell off in the door so I don't know how to get the panel off without the door open

either or could help you (a body shop or mechanical). i work at a hyundai certified body shop. your best bet is to try and take the door panel off or loose and try to get behind it and see whats going on. sounds like one of your rods broke/or unhooked

Man, don't use a pry bay, it'll cost more in the long run and it'll look like HELL..
