Hi, I'm swapping my motor for a zc dohc and looking to see if this ecu I have from an `88 si will work with it? The car is a `91 crx dx and I havn't finished the wiring yet.

an 88 Si will mostly work, but it would be far from ideal. The car will start and run but performance will be adversely affected.

I got a ZC ECU (PM7) from HMotorsonline for $175. This is the best computer for the swap. Except maybe the SiR, but I can't imagine it being good enough for the money.

175 for a ZC ECU is a ripoff.
get a 88-89 PG7 for $20 from a junkyard or get a 90-91 PM6, chip it and use either a PM7 or a custom chip. Save yourself lots of money over a PM7.

Thanks....Its just for a temporary fix just to fire up the engine, I'll replace it later, I have till spring. ;)
