I have a 1999 Civic HX that has had the check engine light on for a while now. The diagnostics say it's the EGR system. I believe the code is P0401 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Insufficient Flow or something along these lines. My mechanic, who is a pretty solid Honda guy, has tried to clean out the tube in the system, then replaced the EGR valve itself. The light is still on. The next step is to take the manifold off and dig some more to try to clean out the system. But before I drop another $300+ on this, thought I'd throw on a post to see if anyone has had this issue and has a simple solution. Thanks!
