engine swap help

ok so i blew 2 piston rings in my 88 accord lx, it has 230,000miles on it and i was just lookin at dropin a new engine into it. i was wondering wat would be the easier swap and more recomended... either a 1.8l carb or i can get a 1990 2.2l fuel injected at the same price. im just looking to get the car running effectivly again right now so that i can drive to wrk instead of bus it.

the current engine code is an A20. with a 2bbl carb

If your purpose is just to get the car running again, then just go for the carbed engine. Dropping that 2.2 in would mean converting to fuel injection, custom engine mounts, new transmission (the A20's tranny won't bolt up to the 2.2 block), etc. Not really worth the time or expense for a simple "make the car run again" type of fix...

would the a20 tranny mate up to the 1.8? if not wat tranny would u recomend
