Engine swap

Help, I purchased a foreign Jap motor with 30K miles for my 1991 Honda Civic. this engine has an extra water connector below the exhaust manifold on the opposite side of the thermostat housing. What is this for?????????????

Can you tell what kind of "foreign jap"motor it is. Maybe get the engine code off the block.
