engine swap

i know nothing about cars but my friend swap a d15b1 for a d16a6...will now that we switched it the car wont start and none of the electrical works in the car anymore people are telling us that the 1991 crx d16a6 engine is not compatiable with our old 1988 honda civic ecu somebody please help i have no clue what the hell is wrong..could the ecu by compatiable???

i have one more question will a distrubtor from the d15b1 work on a d16a6??

was the original motor dpfi. if so you need to convert to mpfi

The reason why no wiring works is because you haven't grounded the car well. Ground the starter to the chassis and the battery to the chassis.
