They didn't ask for it, and the deal is already signed and gold...

but i have all my service records, including the fix from when it got rocked.

Should i include those with the car tomorrow?

From a new buyer perspective, it will explain the extenet of the damage and list all the repairs done, especially if it shows up on a car fax (i don't know if it does, i never ran it)

I've got them all nice in an envelope with the woners manual and lojack stuff.... but i'm kinda second guessing myself....

    what would you do?

    why wouldnt you?

it wasnt totalled, was alot of damage sure, but it shouldnt change anything with your deal on the m.

even if you dont a potential buyer would still find out with a carfax report, like you said.
i would i guess, but i dont think it really matters.

If it's a legit dealership they already ran a car fax, they either already know about ir or dont give a fuck becuase it didnt show up.

If it didnt show up in carfax and you give it to them they'll just throw it away.
If they didnt spot anything wrong chances are the next buyer wont either.

    +1

leave the paperwork in the glovebox or in the trunk, but don't say shit about it. The dealership wouldn't hesitate to fuck you over on something like that, so don't give them the chance.

Just put it in the glovebox. Why aren't you keeping your a.m radio? I'd put the stocker back in.

Until the dealership yanks his car from him and then he's SOL.

Seriously, some dealerships pull shady things and know all the legal loopholes. Its like when the dealership physically gives someone the keys to a car and allows them to drive the car for days and then changes an agreement after the buyer has fallen in love with the car.

+1 for in the trunk, WITH THE SPARE TIRE.

    idk.

    ive never had this problem.

when i sold the black car, i detailed on paper all the shit wrong with the vehicle known to me - especially the valve seals (which i had 12 BRAND NEW ONES from OEM Mitsu).

the current owner... well, he let his daughter drive the car and she ran it out of oil for 2 weeks. now the car is knocking/pinging/wont rev correctly. he called me and asked why i sold him a car that was dying... i asked him what the problem was and when he told me the first thing i said was check the oil level of the car. sure enough, there was no oil in it AND AND his daughter said there was a light coming on that looked like a gas nozzle - but the car was always full of gas. she said it had been flickering for a few days but has been solid for the most part. the father promptly apologized.

    owned.

now this guy ISNT stupid when it comes to cars. he does more or less all the work on his cars, from axles to timing belts to rear end swaps and shit.

and everyone who knew my black car knew the valve seals were gone since i told them - and the telltale black smoke under hard accelleration at autox :)

Thats a private sale of a car worth one tenth of what the STi is worth and wasn't being sold-back to a retailer. B, could get hit with problems of failure to disclose and such because it was obviously reported on the insurance claim. Its not always an issue of don't ask don't tell. You disclosed the information prior to sale, B's situation would also be different in that the information would be disclosed after the sale - can you say a failure to disclose law suit?

The retailer has lawyers on retainer and the money to spend if they're truly unhappy with a deal they received and feel as if they received the short end of the stick.

Its just too risky to throw that paperwork on the driver's seat and turn the car in. It goes in the trunk at the very least or the insurance claim isn't included with the other records. He's happy with the deal he received, why would he risk jeopardizing it? When you do 'the right thing' you normally wind up with getting it put 'right' in your butt.
