has anyone ever heard of such a thing?
early 90's, said to be jdm accord with a 2.0 liter turbo motor?
stock from honda?

i think its bullshit, but looking for other opinions

Besides the BS warning going off in my head....5 pages of Googling different combinations of "Accord", "Cyclone" and "Turbo" didn't pop up any matches.

There was a Honda City Turbo (or somethin like that) with a 1.2L turbo back in the early 80's in the JDM land...But I've never heard of an Accord Cyclone... I'm thinkin :bs:

:shrug2:

yea, i've gone 10 deep with google, and also tried every honda sight i could find to translate from jp to eng

cyclone is a tubo pick up truck from GM.

tow an accord with it, and thats about as close as you're going to get to a turbo accord from honda

i seem to recal there being a jdm turbo 4 on ebay a bit ago from an earlt 90's honda (something like the us vigor or legend). ill have to see if i can find some kind of reference to it.

Edit: Actually it was a turbocharged 6 cylinder legend. They called it the "wing turbo" because it has a wing system (works off of a vacume line) that opens and closes the turbo based on the engines needs. pertty high tech stuff for '89

apperantly there were only 250 made, which means the one i say on ebay was a super rare motor.

thats about all i can find

another stupid ass honda vibe...................just remember.......hondas run high 14's fastest.......period

thats a uk model and im doubting its stock- if it was stock it was more of a trial user end thing - honda wont put out turbo motors and has released many statments as to why- there image is economy which they wish to hold( which is why they come out with things like vtec -s2000 prelude etc and remember acura is seperate so you cant even bring in the gsr nsx or what not-) but they will build turbo/supercharged motors with their stamp and name for other car companies-such as the new saturn redline i hear- so if you really wanted a stock fi honda motor get that and swap it into ur civics friends - but thats just what i have heard- honda has the biggest bullshit when it comes to this subject

hmmm...

a twin turbo 2.7 liter v6 making up to 270 hp

and a stock ecu that can read boost?

i'm very shocked...

and thank you GUY for finding that information
i appreciate it

umm no, you fell victom to the Corprate bullshit that we have in the US. There is no acrua outside of North america, however, there are Integras, nsx's, ledgends, ect all over the world even though they are not "Acruas" Honda made the acura line to "Distinguish" their higher end cars from the normal honda name. In doing so, they jack up the price. Honda is not the only one that does this. Nissan has Infinidy and Toyota has Lexus. Everywere else in the world until recently has no Lexus or Infinidy. The greatest example is with a candian model called the EL. It is basicly a civic with leather and a diffrent front end. What do they do? up the price.

uhmmmm yea, no shit

i think the point he was trying to convey is that honda will not build a turbo car cause the HONDA name is meant to represent economy cars... and he specifically mentioned that acura is NOT to be included because ACURA DOES NOT represent economy cars...

so i believe his above statement that acura is not to be included in this particular discussion is quite accurate...
