Right below the shifter there is a rubber exhaust mount. I need to lower the pipe about a quarter of an inch so that my shifter will clear it. should i wedge something in the rubber to expand it or should i do something else?
Try bending the hangers, if you wedge something up there it is going to fall out. Maybe cut and reweld one of the hangers if bending it doesn't move it far enough.
it moves enough to clear the shifter but i can't get the hangers to bend. i don't think it will help much though because the rubber mount won't hold it down because it takes a lot of force to move it enough
