    Keep getting repeat warning from AVG that firefox memory usage is too high.

    right now
    Firefox.exe = 405,228k
    Plugin-container.exe = 56,260k

    too high?
    solutions?

    I've seen FF climb to 1.2gb used. it's really all about how long you've kept the session open for and how many tabs you've had open. Killing the tab does remove some memory, but not all of it. I basically never close out my browser until it starts lagging.

    I was having the same issue. Upgraded and I haven't had any problems. But I generally run with 5+ tabs open and I never close out the browser.

    FF is at around 550 right now....sometimes it goes to 900 or over and stays up there even with the tabs closed.

    iTunes has been doing the same thing lately; right now it's at 1gb
