Right on. I know a lot of landscapers. Most have made it big if they're smart.
An example of one I know. Guy is 40 years old. He owns 5 homes, all over 500k outright. He drives an M5, owns a huge truck, has every toy imaginable and is 100% liquid. He started his company about 10 years ago and does patios, rockwork, and mows a shit ton of lawns for 20 bucks a pop. When it snows here, he puts his shit on craigslist and works 20 hour days until the snow is gone netting 1k a day typically with the same tractors that make him rich in the summer months.
At that, its all about how much initiative you have and how much you learn and the connections you make in this job. I personally can't make connections inside my business that my dad hasn't already made because I literally work for him, but at that, I'm taking initiative and shaping our business to something different for when I can alter it when I graduate soon.
