Do I need to use gasket sealant on my head gasket? I would think so, but the manual isn't very clear on this.....

Please someone? My manual does not mention RTV gasket sealant for the head gasket and I need to put this thing back together after work......Thanks in advance!

make sure the surfaces of the block and head are clean and smooth, then just put the gasket in there and tighten it up

if the surfaces are questionable or you just feel like it or like the look of it you can use the copper head gasket spray stuff if you want
