Grinding 3rd Gear

guys i need help. i just put a b18b(LS) in my 5gen hb, full swap, tranny, shift linkage, but not the ecu. still running my stock dx ecu. but my 3rd gear grinds at high RPM. 3000+. what do i need to do about the tranny? and also does any know a cheap way to convert obd1 to obd2??? any help would be great. thanks guys.

you don't want OBD2. And the 3rd gear synchro is probably bad

What tranny fluid did you use? Is it full? What do you mean grinds at high RPM? When downshifting or up shifting or both ?

And you don't want OBD2 in a 5 gen. You have to add wires, and make/buy a custom adapter harness. Ask us the real question why do you think you want OBD2?
