I was wondering that if I swap in a GSR motor in my car, would a 99-01 GSR ecu work with that setup? I have heard that getting an oBD II ecu for my car would not work because of the immobilizer problem. Is that true? On the other hand, I did hear that an 00 GSR ecu would work, but I'm not sure if he's right or not. I live in Cali, so it has to be an OBD II ECU. I know that the SI computer will work, but I want the right ecu for this engine. I also know that the engine has to be a 99 or newer for my car. Can anyone help me out? I think I'm going to have to swap my ls turbo out because it's smog time, unless any of you guys have the hook up. Let me know. Thanks.
