Too much money, perhaps?
sounds like a goal in life to me
dammit i just washed these pants.
when the fuk did we get a Bukake emo?
we didnt but i vote it become one
why is he taking it to the ring after only 600 miles? it won't be at peak power for a little more break in right? i mean, it will be ok to rev past 5,000 rpm but i thought it takes a couple thousand miles to get an engine to optimal performance.
i vote that all the smileys be revamped. some are lame and never used, then there are a few that should be added.
break in period is all about personal opinion. its not like the first time you start the motor is the first time its been turned on, the motors are tested before they are put in the vehicles. 500 miles is fine.
i understand it's cool to run high rpm's after 500 miles and nothing will break. it just "feels" like both my car and motorcycle ran better after about 1200 miles or so. it might just be my ass dyno, but they both had a little more "umph" after they had a few more miles after it's official "break in" period. so i was just wondering when a motor had peak performance.
its not a choice.
even on my m3, I have an electronic tach.
For the first 500 miles, it redlines at 5500, slowing moving up to 8200 over the next 1000 miles.
when the car is cold, its set at 5500, and also, slowly goes up as the car warms up.
Electronic tachs are cool
the gt3 has the same thing.
thats a nice feature for when the car is cold i and understand completely with the way they allow the break in period. i still think 500 miles is fine for "most" cars maybe not 40k and up cars . nice m3 by the way just saw your thread the other day
See I just don't rev over 3000 when the car is cold... don't need the car to limit it for me.
