H22 vs B18

I have a 96 Civic hatch that i'm looking to swap something in it. I'm curently stuck with a d-series..In my choices im indecisive between a H22 and a B18. on both of them if i swap them after getting enough money i would boost it. I was just wondering what would be easier to swap into my car...and im thinking about building it as well... What would be a better stepping block to achieve a low 12 second civic?
 
the b18 will be cheaper to build, but as far as just buying one and putting it in the car the h22 will be cheaper
 
There's always the H2B option, H22 with a B-series trans. The kit is around $1300 I think, but it does come with mounts as well. More expensive then a straight H22 though.
