I have a H22 block that is missing a piston and rod and the cylinder walls are a little scratched. I was going to bore it out but my friend who is helping me said he was told I couldn't. He said I could not punch the sleeves because they are floating sleeves. So should i just buy a new block? If so, then I am looking to buy a h22a1 block and I am also looking for the internals (stock or performance). Any help or deals is greatly appreciated!

you should be able to get it bored out .010" over just fine (same as .25mm). don't do anything crazy like .030 or anything like that. But, it also depends on how deep of a scratch you are talking about. Worse comes to worse, you can get stock replacement sleeves if you want to go a little bigger (darton makes good stock repl. sleeves)
