Hatch Wont Lock Shut

the rear hatch wont lock shut on my 90 Integra. the handle to release the hatch stays up. anyone know of a way i can fix it? im thinking the cable may need tightening?? if thats the case, how would i go about doing that?? sorry for the dumb question...

sounds like you might be right. Just pull the panels untill you can se the mechinism, shouldn't be hard

if the handel stay up the cable or lathc are jambing on somthing look at the latch first it may have somthing caught in it
