head help

    k, i am tryin to take off my head for my ls/vtec, but the head just will not come off...also, i tried taking off the intake manifold, but theres bolts that seem impossible to get to...how do i take the head off? and yes, i did take off the head bolts...

    Make sure the bracket that connects the intake manifold to the block is disconnected and pull.Mine was ridiculously hard to get off.

    he alredy took the manfold off so the braket should not be an issue

    you did get all 10 head bolts right?


    just use a screw driver to pry, in the front there should be a place to wedge a screwdriver, there should be SPECIFIC place to pry, just dont start prying everywhere.

    the only other things are the sensors and coolant line to the head.

    MY BAD...........


    OK THERE ARE 2 BOLTS THAT HOLD THE INTAKE MANI TO THE BLOCK.

    there are actually 4 but 2 are on the block and 2 on the manfold

    it is on the very bottom of the manifold

    you may need to get under the car and use a long ass extension if yuou cant get to it in the car
