I have a 93 Civic Dx with a B16A3DOHC Vtech. Which i bought like this ok I know its been swap out to have this engine in it. Shortly after i bought it i spun rod bearings so i pulled the engine and rebuilt it. I had the crank ground .030, put YCP B16A High Compression Pistons with Teflon Coated Skirts 11.9:1, Nippion racing rings, King .030 under racing bearings & thrust washers, 4 NGK Spark Plugs For High Compression Engines R5671A-8, all new gaskets and seals, new oil pump and gates racing timing belt and racing water pump and new header. i didnt do any work to the head or mess with the ECU which is Auto B16 P23 Spec written on it. Now its back together and in the car. It fired and ran on the first start up then flooded out and died. cleaned out extra fuel out of engine and started it up again and it ran till i turned it off. NOW IT WONT START @ ALL FOR THE LIFE OF ME. Its getting fuel to the injectors, its got spark, and Ive set the timing i dont know how many times. By all rights it should run. WHATS WRONG WITH MY CAR??????????????????? PLZ HELP ME EVERYBODY I DONT KNOW WHATS WRONG. THIS IS MY FIRST HONDA BUILD

holding it wide open just opens the throttle plate. the ECU in the car is not the correct ECU for your application, id suggest just getting a chipped obd1 ECU and having it tuned. you have enough mods to benefit from doing so.

no, its not a carbureted. mashing the gas on the floor is only opening the throttle plate. not adding more fuel

maybe a ripped diaphram on the fuel pressure regulator.... if you have to floor it to get it to run, that means you have too much fuel, not enough air... sounds like a bad fuel pressure regulator issue...by opening up the throttle plate, you are trying to match the amount of fuel you have with air... check it out..

I really dont think its the blinker fluid. That wont keep the car from starting. It ended up being the muffler bearing on mine.

The ecu will read WOT and spit out more fuel while cranking. so your adding more fuel and air while cranking.
