so i've got some of those energy saver Fluorescent lamp screw in type bulbs

well, last night i was going to sleep and had the hallway light turned off, and the bulb started flashing...
and it kept flashing at what seemed to be a regular interval

has anyone seen this happen before? and does anyone know why it would do that?

i had the bulb in about 6 months ago and it did the flashing so i took it out and put a regular bulb in...
the regular bulb popped so i put the fluorescent one back in and it was fine up until last night

any ideas?
it looks like a camera flash every 10-20 seconds
 
It's either a logic to flash an error code, or it's a starter discharging. But it shouldn't, because power is off to the circuit.
 
yeah ive never seen a bulb flash at regular intervals like that. never seen one flash while switched off either.
 
yea, never seen anything like it before either

and switch is def off, and it doesn't appear to stop flashing at any time during the night

i told my old lady it prob had stored up energy and she says "i'm not that dumb"
as in i'm making shit up...
