I have a 94 civic coupe with a stock sohc 1.5 and i am wondering what i can do to make it more powerfull without have to swap out. other that the obvious exaust intake header, so forth...

Cheap: intake, header, exhaust, nitrous
Less cheap: pistons, rods, VTEC head, camshaft
Not cheap: port/polish, custom transmission gearing, turbo setup
Always required: lots and lots of tuning
