help with 1.6 sohc v-tec

i was wondering if a 95 1.6 v-tec moter will fit a 89 1.5 tranny??your help is appreciated thanx

So im new to all this honda stuff and im trying to get familiarized with my 98 ex. So not to stray from this post's subject but i am looking to rebuild my d16y8 and hook up a better tranny. I currentlyt have all stock automatic, im intrested in rebuilding the engine and installing a better 5 speed tranny with some longer gears. Any tips?
