hit curb drivin at night -> funny noise

    :blink: hit the curb while driving at night. left driver side makes a clanking sound when driving on bad roads
    or turn steering wheel to the max degree. what could be wrong with it? i havent had time to bring it out to the shop. thanks

    is the rim bent? busted tie rod? all those things you can look for

    OUCH!!! well... Just look underneath... It will be a tie rod most likely...

    . the cv joint made some shaking noise when i shook it. so i think it is the bad cv joint. how do i get this fixed? what about the cost? take this to a body shop or a balancer?

    just go to autozone and buy a new axle for that side, the price is not bad and there is a core charge when u return your busted one, also these axles are lifetime warantee, so if it happens again u get another for free.
