We have just placed a v tech motor from a 1998 accord into my 2000 accord, originally a v tech, both were 4 cyl. automatics. I now can't get her to idle less than 2000rpm and the transmisson will not engage, Is there any wiring issues I should be aware of in this swap and what have I done wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We have no current codes but shows a permanent code.

Thanks

Derek

The swap from 1998 accord F23A1 is now in my 2000 accord replacing another F23A1. Idling at 2000 rpm and auto transmission won't engage. What should I be looking at to fix this.

Thanks

Derek

fast idle control valve is probably causing the high idle. check your linkage to make sure that it isnt pinched.
