recently I ran my car at the track and i ran a 14.6 against a 5.0 mustang's 15.1 but when i looked at the bottom of the time slip, it says i won by .388 ---- I looked at the reaction times and the mustang had a .225 while i had a .337 ----- so i assume that is the difference between my 1/4 mile time and the winning margin----my question is: since he was off the line first, why is the difference in reaction time taken off from the .5 difference in the 1/4 mile times instead of added?? if this is not because of the reaction time then can someone pls explain??
