How bad is it.....

Im new to the site and Wanted to say Hello .....

Im looking at a 83 Civic that has a blown motor..

From talking to the guy, he couldnt explain at what happened.
Said that the car has a 5 spd and brakes redone...

My Question is,
How ready are parts for this motor ( like in parts for rebuilding or buying another engine ) ... ???

And Whats a realist price to pay for a body ( but complete ) ???

you would be best off with a newer, d16 or d15 to swap in there. i wouldn't spend the time to rebuild it.

unless that car is free, i wouldn't mess with it.

i believe ahhvtec has a motor and needed parts to drop a d16 into an 83

This is a first for me to do. I like the idea.
Would love the help in knowing at what needs to be done...

What needs to be done by installing a d16 or d15....???
Stock harness and transmission ...???
Would need a d16 or d15 harness ...???
Total cost of a project like this ????
