how do i read a code from the ECU?

Yeah well ive always seen it talked about, but never done it. My friends '01 Accord has the SRS light on and it wont go off. So where is the ECU in this car, and how can i read the code?

That's for an OBD1 car, though. Not sure if the OBD2's have the same procedure, seeing as how checking codes is different between OBD1 and 2.

Alright i reset the light, but my friend messed with soemthing else and the CEL is on now. he said he pulled a fuse of something. So how can i eset the CEL. I know somone with an OBD2 computer so i might just have him do it, but jsut wondering if i can reset it without using that.

yeah- fix the problem thats throwing it, then unplug the fuse, turn on lights to drain system, plug fuse back in, ecu is cleared
