How much should I pay?

About how much should I be looking to pay for a USDM OBD2 GSR motor? Including tranny, axles, ecu, and harness? I dont want to get ripped off when I go to buy my motor.

Yeah, they are on my list but I got a couple local places I wanna check out to. Has anybody on hear ran into smog issues with putting a gsr motor in a 96 dx hatch? California smog laws suck, and this is going to be my commmuter car so I deffinatly want to pass the emissions test.

As long as its the same year or newer engine you should be fine, don't quote me though.

you shouldn't have any problems, provided you keep all OEM smog control equipment in place

since the motor is newer than the car, you def. shouldn't have any problems
