I bought an ITR tranny from a guy on here. 4.785 fd, 98 ITR.
The diff busted cuz the preload wasn't checked properly when a shop cleaned it. They said it wasn't their fault because they just took it apart, cleaned it and put it back together.
I got a new diff yesterday. I know I need the bearings for the diff, but the problem is that the dealership says there are more than one casing for that tranny. The bearings differ for each casing, so I need to know which one I have.
BUT.....the tag isn't on the tranny. Is there a stamp on the casing somewhere I can refer to?
